Who Are We
WRCON – West Rand Consulting
WRCON has been assisting Municipalities for over 15 years in obtaining and maintaining financial clean audit reports.
Our approach is targeted and technically sound whilst our communication is timeous and constant.
Our First Client was Bela Bela Local Municipality. When we where appointed to assist the municipality with AFS compilation and audit assistance, we managed to achieve an unqualified audit opinion from a disclaimer. Thereafter we have managed to do the same with our other clients such as Lekwa Local Municipality, Mkhondo Local Municipality, Govan Mbeki Local Municipality, Msukaligwa Local Municipality, Phumela Local Municipality and Thabazimbi Local Municipality, to name a few. We have managed to assist these client Municipal Managers and CFO’s in obtaining a financial clean audit.

During the past 15 years, we have established a great understanding in an ever-evolving sector. First, we had MFMA activation coupled with the Municipal Budget and Reporting (MBRR) implementation, then GRAP and now mSCOA.
We understand the pressures of local government, as we have been auditors for the Auditor General and Consultants for National treasury during mSCOA integrated consultative forums and piloting phases. Furthermore, it is clear that the Accounting Officers and Chief Financial Officers are overburdened with their daily responsibilities. With he accounting and regulatory environments developing daily, it is not always easy to stay abreast with technical changes and implementation.
Our company is focused to assist and resolve all technical matters, as well as implementation policies. With our clients but in to our approach, we are certain of a turn-around in their environment, which will result in credible financial reporting and diligence.
